EnglishThe Ministry of Transport, Construction and Tourism (MTCT) has approved a budget of 2.2 million RON for 2007, in order to continue the process of elaborating seismic hazard maps, according to Laszlo Borbely, Minister Delegate for the coordination for public works and territory management. He added that 8 regional projects and 25 pilot projects for such maps have been accomplished so far, the investment amounting to 500.000 RON. According to Mr. Borbely, the elaboration process of the seismic hazard maps should have been finalized by 2004.
