EnglishApproximately 200 employees of the Energy Production Facility Turceni (CE Turceni) and Energy Production Facility Rovinari (CE Rovinari) will lay off approximately 200 employees by the end of the year, new agency Agerpres announced. According CE Turceni Director Eugen Tunaru, 150 employees will be laid off from this unit and receive due severance. In turn, CE Rovinari Director Gheorghe Davitoriu, 75 workers will be laid off by the end of the year. He stressed that this was the final number of layoffs intended for the rest of the year.
Approximately 1,000 employees of various energy production facilities in Gorj County will lose their job by the end of the year. The Oltenia National Lignite Company (Societatea Nationala a Lignitului Oltenia) alone will cut 600 jobs of the 1,000 job cuts planned for the entire county. In turn, CE Turceni and CE Rovinari have already planned 225 layoffs.
