FIFA to reveal full 2026 World Cup schedule in global broadcast

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) will reveal the official match schedule for the 2026 World Cup on December 6, in a global live broadcast from Washington. All parties involved, from FIFA to the three host countries, want to turn this edition of the World Cup into a planetary spectacle. The event will take place just 24 hours after the group draw and will determine the match times and stadiums of the 104 matches of the biggest final tournament in the history of the competition, according to the EFE agency. According to the FIFA press release, the broadcast will start at 12:00 local time (17:00 GMT) and is considered one of the essential moments in the preparations for the 2026 World Cup, hosted for the first time by three countries: the United States, Mexico and Canada. The draw, scheduled the day before, in Washington, will determine the composition of the 12 groups of four teams, after the expansion of the competition format to 48 selected teams.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino will be on stage, who will officially announce the full program, along with: FIFA legends, representatives of the 42 teams already qualified, delegates of the teams still fighting for the last places in the final tournament. This extensive format of the presentation emphasizes the importance of the 2026 edition, considered by FIFA "the biggest World Cup in history".
