The Minister of Education and Research, Daniel David, has sent an appeal to young people, encouraging them to embrace the values of education, democracy and civic responsibility as the foundations for a better future. The minister reminded young people that they represent the core of the next generation, emphasizing that taking responsibility for the future of the country is essential: "For you, your parents/grandparents and your children, responsibility for the future must be taken."
• Education, the key to personal and social success
Daniel David stated, according to the ministry, that quality education - formal, non-formal and informal - is the main path to success, not only for the individual, but also for society as a whole: "Quality education is the main path to personal and social success. Therefore, it must be respected and promoted." In a constantly changing world, the minister highlighted the importance of Euro-Atlantic democracy as a space for free development, free from unjust social constraints. "Euro-Atlantic democracy is the context in which you can realize your potential, free from social class constraints."
• Call for unity and intergenerational responsibility
Daniel David spoke about the risks of social and cultural polarization, urging young people to become bridges between generations and contribute to reconnecting "polarized Romanias": "Listen and form an alliance with all other generations, paying increased attention to the voices of seniors who have lived through competence and common sense." The minister emphasized that young people must defend democratic values, reject imposture, aggression and xenophobic pseudo-patriotism: "Reject aggressive imposture, anti-democratic approaches, pseudo-patriotism, audacity and antagonizing Romanians." The minister's conclusion is clear, the future belongs to those who choose education, democracy and common sense.
