More than 36,000 students will receive social scholarships worth 925 lei during this academic year, through a project implemented by the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC). According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the scholarships are intended for students aged 18 to 29 who are enrolled in full-time bachelor's or master's degree programs, occupying state-funded places at public universities selected for the project.
• Selection of beneficiaries carried out by universities
The selection of students is the responsibility of the participating universities. Interested individuals must submit their applications for social scholarships, along with the required documentation, in accordance with the announcements and procedures provided by the higher education institutions. The program aims to support students and prevent university dropout by providing financial assistance to those who meet the eligibility criteria.
This measure is part of the project "Interventions for Tertiary Education - Systemic Measures to Prevent and Reduce University Dropout," with the SMIS code 322473. The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund+ (ESF+) through the 2021-2027 Education and Employment Program, as well as by the national budget.
