EnglishSome 4,151 mining industry employees who were given notice on December 2006 will receive severance under Ordinance 8/2003 on stimulating the restructuring, reorganization and privatization of State-controlled enterprises, a Government press release announced. The severance will add to the regular unemployment benefits. The 4,151 mining industry employees to benefit from the severance offered under Ordinance 8/2003 are from SN Carbunelui SA - Ploiesti (601), SC Minbucovina SA (200), CN Remin - Baia Mare (2500), SC Baita - Strei (90) and SC Cuprumin - Abrud (760). The layoffs became effective in January 2007.
