EnglishPetrom, a subsidiary of OMV and the largest oil company in Romania, will add natural gas exports to its registered business during the next General Meeting of Shareholders. "We have not yet decided on whether we should actually export natural gas, but the decision to add natural gas exports to our registered business comes as a natural step to take," said Petrom CEO Mariana Gheorghe. She declined saying whether the decision to export natural gas was related to the commissioning of the Szeged (Hungary) - Arad (Romania) pipeline, scheduled for early 2010.
