The West University of Timisoara (UVT) has launched the online admission platform for the 2025-2026 academic year, providing candidates with an extensive educational offer, which includes 81 bachelor's programs, 96 master's programs and 26 doctoral fields, distributed within the 12 faculties.
• Diverse fields, modern offers
The UVT offer covers various fields - from mathematics, natural and social sciences, to arts, humanities, sports and physical education. In addition, the university focuses on emerging programs, aligned with the demands of the labor market: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Game Art, or Applied Sciences in Forensic Science. UVT introduces in 2025 a set of 11 new master's programs, which include specializations such as: Graphic Arts (Faculty of Arts and Design), Finance for Business, Banking and Investments (Faculty of Economics), High Energy Physics (Faculty of Physics), Music - instrumental and vocal performance, choral conducting (Faculty of Music and Theater), Military Social Work, International Migration and Social Global Change (Faculty of Sociology),
Mass Media and Public Relations in a Digital Context, Public Policies and Governance in the Digital Age, Sustainable Futures and Urban Change (Faculty of Government Sciences).
• Over 10,000 places available
UVT offers over 6,300 places at the bachelor's degree, of which 2,900 are financed from the budget (30 more than last year), approximately 4,600 places at the master's degree, of which over 1,500 are budgeted. Dedicated places are allocated for: graduates from rural areas (63 places - bachelor's degree), Roma candidates (20 places - bachelor's degree, 10 - master's degree), candidates with disabilities, from placement centers or minorities (25 places - bachelor's degree, 25 - master's degree), Romanians from all over the world (250 places - bachelor's degree, of which 150 with scholarships; 110 places - master's degree, of which 70 with scholarships).
• Admission in two sessions and physical tests
The admission process is carried out in two sessions: May-July and August-September, with specific calendars for each faculty. All candidates will take an admission test, which can test: specialized knowledge and cognitive capacities, or linguistic and reasoning skills, depending on the chosen program. Registrations are made exclusively online, through the dedicated UVT platform. However, candidates must present the original documents at the admission centers for scanning and certification.
