The Valahia University of Târgovişte (UVT) will grant, starting with the 2026-2027 academic year, a new scholarship for students admitted to the first year of fee-paying places. Called "First Academic Step", it will fully cover the tuition fee for the first year and will be financed from the university's own revenues, according to a press release from the institution. According to UVT, the scholarship is intended for candidates admitted to the first year of bachelor's and master's degrees on fee-paying places and will be granted to the first two students enrolled in each study program. The value of the financial support is equal to the tuition fee for the first academic year and is granted only once during the studies. In the case of candidates admitted to multiple programs, the beneficiary can receive the scholarship for a single program, chosen by them.
• The measure is part of the student support policy
According to university representatives, the introduction of the "First Academic Step" scholarship is part of the institution's strategy to expand financial support measures for students.
The university specifies that, in recent years, it has developed scholarship programs financed from its own sources, in order to reduce the impact of financial difficulties on access to studies and the continuation of the university career.
• Applications are submitted to the faculties
Applications for the scholarship will be submitted to the faculty secretariats, and the award procedure will be finalized at the beginning of the academic year, no later than December 15. Valahia University also informs that registrations for the July admission session are carried out exclusively online, for all ten faculties of the institution.
