EnglishAltex posted a turnover of 112 million EUR, recording a 25% increase from the same period last year, according to a company press release. Operating margin rose by 10% in the first six months.
In the first half of 2007, the company focused on the modernisation and expansion of its two store chains, Altex Megastore and Media Galaxy, the investments amounting to 5 million EUR. Currently, Altex has a retail surface of over 80,000 square meters and operates over 80 Altex Megastores, 14 Media Galaxy stores and 5 Digital stores.
In the second half of the year, Altex will open four new Altex Megastores, four Media Galaxy stores and five Digital stores, with a total retail surface of 100,000 square meters. For 2007, Altex estimates a turnover of over 300 million EUR and a 26% market share.
