Investments in technology will help aluminum packaging producer Can-Pack Romania reach a production capacity of 800 million cans per year, up from 600 million cans/year currently. The Bucharest-based factory produces 1,600 cans per minute using last-generation equipment imported from the US, UK, Germany and Holland. The investment in the production line amounted to 20 million EUR. Can-Pack produces 33 and 55 centiliter cans and exports most of the 33 centiliter cans to Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Albania and the Middle East as domestic brewers prefer the 50 centiliter cans. The company"s main customers are Brau Union, SAB, Interbrew, Tuborg and European Drinks.
