The former employees of Toptherm - Ghimbav have asked Brasov County Prefect Adriana Dontu to replace Maestro SPRL - Constanta as the liquidator of the company because "they have done nothing to finalize the liquidation procedure." The 69 former employees have filed a claim for unpaid salaries and asked their union to take steps to have the liquidator changed. Toptherm SA - Ghimbav is a splinter of the former IAR and used to produce aluminum and PVC frames. Mestro SPRL - Constanta is supposed to start these days the evaluation of Toptherm, which is being liquidated because no one expressed any interest in buying it. "We believe that the assessment will be lower than 3 million EUR this time, considering that the main piece of equipment is obsolete and also very large. No one is interested in equipment that large because the production is oversized," said Anca Sarbu the manager of Maestro SPRL. She added that, after the assessment was going to be completed, the creditors would be invited to a meeting to freeze the sale price prior to the auction.
