EnglishLand prices in the Western area of the capital vary according to the facilities provided. Thus, "they vary between 70 and 80 EUR/sqm in the Carrefour area, decreasing as one gets farther from Bucharest", according to Ionut Ciocan, consultant with the industrial department of DTZ Echinox.
He added that land prices in the Western area of Bucharest have increased by 50-70%. This is not always justified, as the increase is parly due to speculations, according to Mr. Ciocan. Land in Western Bucharest is bought mainly for industrial developments, storage, logistics and production.
