EnglishThe construction of the Basarab Bridge in Bucharest is 15 months late, according to Marian Ursu, a technical representative of the contractor, quoted by Agerpres. He made the announcement during a meeting with Bucharest Mayor General Sorin Oprescu, who inspected the construction site to check the status. Ursu said the delays had resulted from the process of expropriating the land under the bridge and the fact that the Bucharest City Halls had not paid electricity bills since 2007. He mentioned, that, according to the initial schedule, the current status should have been 60% done, but in fact was 25% done.
