EnglishThe receiver of KD Life Asigurări, appointed by the Insurance Surveillance Commission, will focus on helping the company recover by raising funds for a share capital increase from its main shareholders, or from another shareholder that is interested, a press release posted on the company"s website states.
The goals of the receiver also include protecting the interests of the company"s insurance customers, for the entire duration of the receivership, as well as to cut the company"s expenses, in order to improve the efficiency of its operations.
The company officials say that all the necessary steps have been take to preserve the company"s assets, as amounts which were paid unjustly.
"We want to assure the policyholders of KD Life Asigurări SA that their insurance contracts concluded with KD Life Asigurări SA are in effect and are going normally, without their rights being affected in any way.
In January, Slovenian group KD decided to declare insurer KD Life Asigurări insolvent and to begin the voluntary liquidation of the company , which will be handled Boştină&Associates Insolvency.
The insurer has a share capital of 40.84 million lei and is D Group Financna Druzba - 95.12% and KD Zivljenje - 4.88%, according to data from the Trade Registry.
