EnglishAlpha Bank Romania increased its share capital by 58.2 million RON to 593.62 million RON. The company used its reserves in order to operate the capital increase.
The bank"s assets totaled 2.47 billion EUR in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, a 17% increase from the same period last year. Loans increased by 36%, amounting to 1.5 billion EUR. First quarter net profit totaled 6.57 million RON, declining from the year-ago quarter. The bank plans to expand its branch network to 300 units by 2010.
