EnglishRomanians assigned 17.68 million RON from the Y2005 revenue tax to sponsor 22,968 non-profit entities. Some 13.4 million RON of this sum was transferred to the respective recipients by January 8th according to the National Fiscal Administration Authority (ANAF). Romanian taxpayers have an option to transfer up to 2% of the revenue taxes they pay to a non-profit organization of their choice. By January 8th, 2007, some 568,735 taxpayers had expressed this option, indicating the recipient.
