The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies opens the new academic year on Monday, September 29, 2025, with an institutional celebration organized in the Aula Magna of the ASE Palace. The event will bring together guests from the university, as well as from the pre-university environment, to be complemented by similar ceremonies at the level of each faculty. The opening of the academic year is also marked by the inauguration of the "Mihai Eminescu” Building, after an extensive rehabilitation and modernization process. The building joins other buildings recently integrated into the ASE campus - Nanu Muscel House (ASE Museum), the building in Piaţa Romană no. 7 and Sabba Ştefănescu House.
• Investment of over 164 million lei
The rehabilitation project of the "Mihai Eminescu" building was carried out with a financing of 164.63 million lei, of which 160.64 million lei through the National Investment Company and 3.99 million lei from the university's own funds. The modernized building offers the academic community: 18 seminar rooms; 6 lecture rooms; 8 amphitheaters; 34 laboratories; 6 research centers; a multifunctional room equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
• Over 10,000 freshmen and a community of 25,000 members
ASE Rector, prof. univ. Dr. Nicolae Istudor, emphasized the importance of the beginning of the academic year: "We are strong at this beginning not only through the number of members of our academic community, over 25,000, but, above all, through the results validated by international rankings and the confidence of the labor market in our specialists. I wish all students and teaching staff a very good 2025-2026 academic year, with health and professional and personal achievements". ASE has fully filled the offer of places put out to competition for the 2025-2026 academic year. Over 10,100 new students were admitted following the admission session, strengthening the academic community of the institution, which has over 25,000 members.
