EnglishBenQ has introduced LCD television sets on the Romanian market via the Media Galaxy store chain. "The introduction of LCD sets is a natural development of the existing product range in a context of proper economic development. Our target for next is 5% market share," said Bobby Durbac, BenQ Sales Manager for Romania. Last year"s demand for LCD TV BenQ totaled 20,000 units, whereas projections for this year indicate an increase to 150,000 amid a clearer preference for wider sets. BenQ sales in Romania amounted to 15.7 million EUR in 2006 and are projected at 25 million EUR for this year.
