EnglishThe State Assets Recovery Authority (AVAS) has put up for sale 62.82 percent in Craiova-based electric engine maker Electroputere SA. Final binding bids can be submitted until March 26th. "The price of the share package can only receive up to 20% of the total score as we are trying to stipulate and emphasize the importance of the investments that the bidder is prepared to make in the company. We"re hoping that the capital injection to be made by the new owner will revivify the company because it does have a significant market potential," said AVAS president Teodor Atanasiu. AVAS is currently making the sixth attempt to privatize Electroputere. The factory was established in 1949.
