James McDonald, Chief Executive Officer of the New York asset management firm "Rockefeller & Co.", who also served as a member of the board of stock exchange operator NYSE Euronext, was found dead on Sunday, with circumstances of his death still unclear, Wall Street Journal (WSJ) announced, citing close sources. According to a statement by Barclay McFadden III, a long time friend, McDonald committed suicide.
Representatives of "Rockefeller" declined to comment.
Current leadership of Rockefeller & Co was assumed by Austin Shapard, the company"s chief operating and financial officer.
