EnglishCentrul Medical Unirea (Unirea Medical Center - CMU) has acquired 50% in AvaMedica for some 700,000 EUR. The transaction is part of CMU"s plan to increase their stake in AvaMedica to 70% in the next 2 years. AvaMedica concluded last year with some 450,000 EUR in turnover and estimates a 55% increase for this year to 700,000 EUR. Following the acquisition, the medical center will operate as CMU AvaMedica, which will be subject to a re-branding process in the following 6-12 months. CMU Executive Director Sergiu Negut said: "Besides this first investment in 50% in AvaMedica, we also plan to continue our expansion by opening a new clinic in Constanta."
