EnglishDotCommerce Romania is currently making a study on the applications for online payment of local taxes, upon request from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCTI) in order to spot the deficiencies of such systems. The study is focused on three categories of respondents: financial institutions / banks, city halls and tax-payers. The study is conducted via cercetareonline.ro. "It is important to have a clear picture of the current popularity of electronic payment systems, the citizens" confidence in such systems and their expectations from such services," MCTI said in a press release.
