Farming Loans To Receive 17% Contribution From Public Funds

Farming loans contracted in 2008 can benefit from an average 17% contribution from the public funds, according to a Government decision made on Wednesday. According to this decision, the average volume of farming loans considered for the allocation of public funds cannot exceed the average volume of farming production expenses defined by the Government decision.

The decision is intended to support farming production, with different financing thresholds for different types of crop. Thus, the level of public funding is 10% for wheat, barley and mushrooms, 15% for flax, hemp, fodder, potatoes and tobacco, 20% for corn, sunflower, soy, rice, sugar beet and field vegetables and 25% for greenhouse vegetables. Orchards and vineyards may benefit from 25%. Chicken breeding may get 12%, pigs - 15%, fisheries and beekeepers - 20%.
