EnglishGerman group Hornbach, one of the largest operators of DIY stores and garden centers in Europe, enters the Romanian market by opening its first store in Bucharest. The DIY store will be inaugurated on June 20th, according to a company press release. Hornbach plans to open ten stores in Romania, of which four in Bucharest. The first Hornbach store will have a surface area of approximately 24,000 suare meters, the investment amounting to some 25 million EUR.
Hornbach Group consists of three companies: Hornbach-Baumarkt AG, Hornbach Baustoff Union GmbH and Hornbach Immobilien AG. Established in 1877, the group is currently present in eight European countries and has over 12,000 employees.
