In April, the National Tax Administration Agency (ANAF) will refund VAT worth 1.12 billion lei, of which it will effectively refund 788.8 million lei and settle the rest, according to the institution. "The selection for the month of April has included all the VAT statements, in chronological order, and it has decided to refund VAT for all the VAT statements older than March 4th", according to a press release by ANAF. Out of the total statements of 875.7 million lei, 86.9 million lei will be settled and 788.8 million lei will be refunded. 248.8 million lei will be refunded in full, and VAT statements worth 4 million lei will be partially settled. In the case of partial or full settlements, all VAT statements for which the refund decision was issued will be solved, and the amounts which will be effectively refunded (788,8 million lei) are scheduled to be repaid in three tranches. The first tranche, of 157.6 million lei was paid on April 8th, and the other two tranches of 197.5 million lei and 433.7 million lei, respectively, are scheduled for April 21st and 28th.
