Ministry of Education launches competition schedule for school principals

The Ministry of Education and Research has launched a public consultation on the draft order on organizing the competition for filling the vacant positions of director and deputy director in state pre-university education units. According to the proposed schedule, the final results of the competition will be posted on December 9. According to a press release from the Ministry of Education and Research, the competition will begin on August 17, when the vacant positions of director and deputy director in state pre-university education units with legal personality, included in the school network for the 2026-2027 school year, will be published. Application files will be submitted between September 14 and October 2. The skills assessment test, which will test the personal capabilities and skills of the candidates, is scheduled for October 13, the date on which the results will also be posted. The written test will take place on October 20, and the results will be published on the same day.

• Interviews scheduled for November

The administrative evaluation of the draft management plans and action plans will be carried out by the interview committees between October 23 and November 4. The interviews are scheduled between November 12 and 27, and the final results of the competition will be displayed on December 9.

• Conditions of participation

Titular teachers in pre-university education who have at least five years of experience in education can participate in the competition. The Ministry of Education and Research specifies that all the conditions that must be met cumulatively for registration are provided in the Methodology for the organization and conduct of the competition for the positions of director and deputy director in state pre-university education units, a document that is the basis of the draft order submitted to public consultation.
