EnglishMoldoplast - Iasi has reported a preliminary turnover of 6 million RON and losses of some 3 million RON, due to five idle months (January - May) caused by the fact that it was disconnected from the power grid because of overdue debts to E.ON Moldova. As the new majority shareholder paid the electricity bill the company resumed production in June.
The company has been declining over the years from 1,600 employees to 150 employees. One way to derive some revenue is to rent some of the 92,000 square meters surface it has. Lease varies between 2 and 5 EUR/sq.m. The company has a share capital of 28.13 million RON and is controlled by SC International Import Export Company.
