EnglishOf the 38 non-banking financial institutions (IFN) registered in Romania, 39.5% perform financial leasing operations, 52.5% - multiple operations and 5% issue guarantees, according to First Vice Governor of the National Bank of Romania (NBR) Florin Georgescu. He added that 15 of the 38 IFNs were focused exclusively on financial leasing, 20 on multiple types of leasing, 2 on credit guarantee and 1 on consumer credit. Georgescu made these remarks at an EU-COFILE seminar organized by NBR, Alpha Bank and the Romanian Banking Association.
