Nicusor Dan's victory in the presidential elections represents a big breath of oxygen for Romanian democracy. That's what I felt, after six months in which the wave of hatred of a part of Romanian society grew following the annulment of last year's presidential elections. A wave of hatred that was not based on arguments, but because that's what they wanted, those who had voted for a certain candidate.

During all this time, on social networks, even in the comments posted on the website of the BURSA newspaper by some of the readers, followers of sovereignism, the data and certain information provided by the media were not taken into account, they were constantly contested without any contrary evidence showing that this information was erroneous, while self-sufficiency and omniscience seemed to become basic characteristics of the people in question. From here to verbal violence and even direct or indirect threats against the media was only a step, which was nonchalantly passed by the so-called representatives of the "will of the people", instigated, veiled or not, by some "deontologists" with long-standing positions in journalism, but who violated the most important principle in all these six months: the impartiality of the journalist.

The media that did not share the "will of the people" became hostile, enslaved, "Serbian" media, financed by the Government, Soros or the global occult, although many of the publications, including the BURSA newspaper, did not receive any money from the respective entities listed by the most ardent fans of the sovereignists.

Lists of undesirable journalists were even drawn up. Don't worry! No, I did not have the honor of being among them, I was not included in any list. But I regretfully found out, in the last week of the campaign before the second round of the presidential elections that took place on May 18, that George Simion or those who manage his Facebook page blocked my access to it, disturbed by the comments I posted, immediately after he secretly filmed the representatives of Digi24.

Why do I say regret? Because during the past year, when they agreed with what I was writing, George Simion and AUR had no objections. I interviewed the president of AUR before the European and local elections of June 9, 2024, I later presented him with the Simion Plan, with arguments for and against from some economic and financial analysts, but as soon as I criticized it before May 18, 2025, I suddenly became undesirable. Because Simion and AUR do not accept criticism, even when they are clearly wrong.

All this tense situation described above was removed by Nicuşor Dan's victory in the presidential elections. Because at that moment we realized that freedom of expression, freedom of movement, freedom of association and the right to choose are some of the most important freedoms and rights of man.

And there is something else: all this tension would not have been possible without its maintenance by some "deontologists" in the media. Therefore, I believe that in the next three months it would be better for Ion Cristoiu, Sorin Roşca Stănescu, H.D. Hartmann, Cozmin Guşă, Anca Alexandrescu, Robert Turcescu, Dan Diaconescu and Marius Tucă to keep quiet and let the new president sit down properly at Cotroceni and make the first decisions.

After the 90 days of assumed silence - not forced, because I am an advocate of free speech -, all those listed above can criticize him as much as they want and say whatever they want about Nicuşor Dan. Until then, however, I believe that they should not, from a moral point of view, talk about the new president through the prism of the tension they have introduced into society, constantly talking about stolen presidential elections, and the maintenance of hatred of those on the side of the sovereignist camp.
