EnglishSNGN Romgaz representatives will have a meeting in the following days with representatives of the Russian Federation Embassy and the Ministery of Economy and Trade. Discussions will focus on the Memorandum of Agreement that establishes the intention of Romgaz and Gazprom to collaborate in order to develop an underground gas deposit in Margineni.
According to a press release sent to our newspaper, the document will also establish the steps to be taken towards the fulfilment of the two companies common objectives. Iakob Alexa, General Manager of SNGN ROMGAZ SA said "the focus of the discussions this week is the development of the gas deposit in Margineni. The participation of Romgaz in this project is conditioned by the fact that someone has to provide gas for this deposit and handle trade."
Mr. Alexa added that, as far as the company"s import contracts are concerned, they must be fulfilled and that, at this point, Romgaz cannot consider direct imports.
