Stihl Introduces Low-Emission Power Tools In Romania

Starting in 2008, Stihl Romania will complement the local portfolio with several models of chainsaws and cut-off saws with a special engine: the 2-MIX. Stihl will introduce the chainsaws MS 171, MS 181 and MS 211, as well as the cut-off saws TS 410 and TS 420, both powered by 2-MIX engines. The new engine model is powered by a 1:50 mixture of fuel and oil and complies with the EU II standard on air emissions by portable power tools having an internal combustion engine.

Stihl Romania is a subsidiary of Andreas Stihl AG & Co., a global leader in chainsaws and a leading player on the power tools and gardening tools market. The company has some 9,500 employees and 2 billion EUR in turnover (Y2006) worldwide. The company also produces brushcutters, hedge trimmers, pruners, augers, clearing saws and mistblowers.
