EnglishEleven months through the year, TCE Logistica has reported a turnover of 10 million EUR. In November alone, the turnover gained 40% against November 2006, exceeding 1.2 million EUR. November"s traffic amounted to 25,000 pallets, up by 20% y/y. The year-end holidays are generating substantial surges in the company"s business, all the more because TCE Logistica also offers just-in-time services, basically acting as courier for prices as low as those of a freight forwarder. "The fact that our hub in Brasov is experiencing a five-fold increase in traffic indicates that the business outside Bucharest is also expanding rapidly," said one of the managers.
TCE Logistica is the logistics division of RTC Holding, one of the largest distribution and retail players in Romania. TCE"s turnover increased from 6.5 million EUR in 2005 to 8.5 million EUR in 2006. The company has a fleet of 250 vehicles ranging between 800 kg and 7 tons plus 50 trucks leased from a third party.
