EnglishTransilvania Insolvency House (CIT) yesterday delivered the strategy to recover the viable operating flows of Tractorul SA - Brasov to the State Assets Recovery Authority (AVAS). CIT is hoping that AVAS approves the stragety before the end of the month so that the invitations to tender may be issued on Friday. According to the liquidators, the viable parts of Tractorul are going to be sold by August 15th, whereas the former employees may receive their overdue salaries by mid-September.
Tractorul assets will be sold through three tenders held 15 days apart one from the next. The tractor factory measures some 56 hectares and comprises 14 production departments. The foundry measures an additional 23 hectares, whereas decommissioned production halls, warehouses and desolate land account for another 40 hectares. Rumors indicate that Carpatica and Myo-O have already expressed interest in the tractor factory.
