EnglishUnirea Shopping Center Bucharest (RASDAQ:SCDM) concluded the first half of the year with a net profit of 4.03 million RON, up by 21.8% y/y amid a 14.5% increase in turnover. The H1 turnover was 34.02 million RON (10.86 million EUR), up from 29.70 million RON. The net profit reported for H1:2006 was 3.3 million RON. The company achieved 97% of the projected turnover and exceeded the net profit projection by 51%.
The shopping center has recently inaugurated the fourth floor under the name of Little Paris. The floor comprises nine restaurants, two coffee shops a sushi bar and a ice cream parlor. Unirea Shopping Center is controlled by Nova Trade with 65.4%. Nova Trade is controlled by Dan Adamescu. Unirea has a share capital of 5.2 million RON divided into 2.08 million shares with a face value of 2.5 RON.
