EnglishThe Competition Council is reviewing the economic concentration resulting from the takeover of Finnforest Baco Production SRL Comăneşti, owned by SC Metsaliito Osuuskunta of Finland by SC Holzindustrie Schweighofer SRL Sebeş.
In order to determine whether this economic concentration does not hinder market competition, the competition watchdog will review the aforementioned merger, according to the Regulation concerning the authorization of economic concentrations.
Holzindustrie Schweighofer SRL Sebeş is a limited liability company, registered in Romania, owned by SPB Industrieholding GmbH of Austria. Holzindustrie Schweighofer SRL also is a shareholder in another company operating in the wood working industry, SC Holzindustrie Schweighofer Panels SRL. The main operations of the two companies which belong to the Schweighofer Group include the production and sale of timber obtained from cutting, planning and impregnation of wood, and logging.
