EnglishThe State Assets Recovery Authority (AVAS) has put Nitroexplosives - Fagaras up for privatization again after no bids were submitted during the previous attempt. Sources close to the company say that two bids would have been submitted if the already extended submission deadline had been extended again.
One of the would-be contenders is Austin Powder, a worldwide reputed explosives company established in 1833. The other is Uzuc - Ploiesti, a Romanian military company established in 1904 and currently controlled by Stefan Vuza. The company currently designs and produces technological production lines for the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear and oil & gas industries.
