The Democrat Liberal Party (PD-L) has entered the final stage of the preparations for the election campaign, PD-L Vice President Gheorghe Flutur stated, adding that further details about the official announcement of the President"s candidacy for re-election would be released at a later date.
PD-L Vice President Gheorghe Flutur, who will be the head of the PD-L presidential election campaign, has expressed confidence that Traian Băsescu will be re-elected. "We have also discussed the recent situation, which is quite positive for us. PD-L is pleased with the announcement that Traian Băsescu made about his candidacy for President of Romania. I would like to remind you that PD-L has always maintained that Traian Băsescu will run and that the party will support him. We have and will stand by Traian Băsescu," Gheorghe Flutur added.
President Traian Băsescu announced his candidacy for re-election while in Sannicolau Mare on Saturday.
