Christian Tour, one of the most important tour operators in Romania and the first tourism company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, expands its offer of experiential holidays by launching programs dedicated to women traveling alone, circuits inspired by the K-Pop phenomenon (representing the wave of popular music originating from South Korea that has transformed from a local musical genre into a global cultural industry worth billions of dollars) and by developing its cruise portfolio, adapting to new trends in the tourism industry. The company introduces on the Romanian market the first range of circuits intended exclusively for women who choose to travel alone, but within organized groups, emphasizing safety and comfort. In parallel, Christian Tour is launching programs dedicated to the younger generation, inspired by contemporary South Korean culture and the global popularity of the K-Pop phenomenon, as well as new exotic circuits focused on authentic experiences and interaction with local communities.

"Tourism is changing, and in recent years, travelers are especially looking for experiences that transform them. That is why Christian Tour is bringing new product categories to the Romanian market: there are programs that respond to global trends, exotic thematic circuits, a diverse portfolio of cruises, all offering Romanians access to authentic experiences, in complete safety and with the quality standards that have defined Christian Tour for almost three decades", says Cristian Pandel, CEO and founder of Christian Tour.

Five destinations for the Solo Travel segment

The new Solo Travel offer includes, in a first stage, five destinations selected according to the preferences of women traveling alone internationally: South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Morocco and Panama. The programs include culinary workshops, wellness and beauty sessions, traditional ceremonies and local cultural experiences. According to the company, the development of this product is based on international studies showing that the segment of women who choose to travel alone is one of the most dynamic in the tourism industry. Almost 87% of them opt for this type of vacation on their own initiative, and 96% say that they would do this easier within an organized group. Freedom, personal development and safety are the main reasons invoked by this segment of tourists.

Circuits dedicated to Generation Z

Christian Tour is also expanding its offer for South Korea through programs that go beyond classic tourist routes and include experiences dedicated to the universe of K-Pop, K-Beauty, gastronomy and contemporary South Korean culture, in an attempt to respond to the growing interest shown by Generation Z. "We built each itinerary starting from the question: what does a traveler really want when they go to the other side of the world? The answer: they don't want to tick off some tourist attractions, but they want to live memorable experiences. That's why we included authentic activities, meetings with local people and communities, culinary, cultural and lifestyle experiences in our programs, which transform each circuit into a personal story. At the same time, for the programs dedicated to women traveling alone, we paid special attention to safety, comfort and a sense of community,” says Elena Anghel, Christian Tour's commercial director.

Expanding cruise offer

In addition to the new thematic programs, the company is also expanding its cruise portfolio, a growing segment on the international market and increasingly in demand by Romanian tourists. The offer for the next season includes itineraries in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Norwegian fjords, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Asia and Alaska, made in partnership with some of the most important cruise companies in the world. According to the company, the packages are designed so that the onboard experience is complemented by excursions to the visited destinations and integrated services, from transportation and accommodation to assistance in Romanian.
