The Ministry of Education and Research has announced that political activities are prohibited in educational institutions, especially in the context of the second round of the presidential elections. "By law, politics is prohibited in school!", the ministry emphasizes, also specifying that "in school, without doing politics, politics is studied" within subjects such as civic education and democratic citizenship. According to the authorities, the educational process must remain unaffected by the election campaign, and no person - regardless of position - is allowed to interfere with this process in the school space. "Politics stops at the school gate, but we encourage its democratic expression in society!", the ministry transmits, encouraging young people to form informed political opinions, outside of school. This position statement comes as the electoral campaign enters its final stage, and civil society has drawn attention to the risks of using schools as a platform for influence.
