Braşov -based "Hiperdia", medical imaging center operator, this year expects its turnover to reach 52 million lei, more than double over last year"s 24 million lei.
This year"s budget forecast includes the earnings of "Pro Life" clinics, which it acquired last year. Tiberiu Roth, general manager of "Hiperdia", announced that the company may see weaker results in the H2 2009, because its customers include hospitals with lower resources than last year. Hiperdia"s turnover reached 13 million lei in Q1 2009, up 114% over 2008.
Last year, Hiperdia"s net profit was 6 million lei, up 90% over 2007. Also in 2007, the company"s shareholders sold a 65% stake in the company to investment fund Bedminster Capital Management, in a deal worth EUR 15 million. Last year, the company spent "a few million Euros" to buy "Pro Life", which runs two imaging centers in Bucharest,.
