EnglishRivers in Maramures County, which overflowed last week, are to be repopulated. Radu George, president of the Maramures County Association for Hunting and Fishing, announced late last week that the main rivers in the county would be repopulated with some 12 tons of fish to rebalance the respective fauna. According to Agerpres, the repopulation of both the rivers and seven local fisheries would take place in October and November. Specialists say the recent floods were particularly detrimental to trout.
