EnglishThe National Tax Agency (ANAF) announced on Friday, in a press release, that by November 27 2009, 1636 taxpayers that made real estate transactions between 2006-2008. 33 notifications were submitted to the prosecutors, for damages worth 16,886,947 lei and at the same time decided the taking of precautionary measures for a number of 95 taxpayers, for an amount of 188,369,251 lei. In total, ANAF initiated 1,333 spontaneous investigations for the individuals concerned, of which 710 were completed. 96 fiscal audits are still ongoing, and the Tax administration expects to earn an additional 186,818,998 lei concerning VAT for real estate transactions made by individuals.
ANAF has brought charges in 33 briefs on the VAT for real estate transactions
