According to the Delegate Minister for Energy, the tense situation in Ukraine is no major problem, because Romania is ready to deal with any situation. He told us in an interview that the country has enough domestically produced gas to meet demand, and also that every forecast shows that starting in 2019-2020, Romania will be producing more natural gas than it needs. Minister Nicolescu also told us that in the coming years, the market for natural gas will remain constant, with consumption remaining similar to that of 2013. He also claims that we shouldn't be that concerned with diversifying the sources of natural gas when we have so many resources in Romania, and the Government encourages new explorations.
