AUR President George Simion met with the Romanian community in Madrid, giving the impression that he has restarted the election campaign. On this occasion, he also launched an attack on President Nicuşor Dan and spoke about the "claiming" of the country: "I will never accept that my people are trampled on and humiliated by some servants. I will never accept that the future of our children and grandchildren is pawned by some useless servants who, instead of sending money where it hurts, in many rural areas of Romania, send money for weapons to Ukraine and care more about Ukraine, France, Germany and any other nation, but not about our nation. They want war, they want death, they have a culture of death and are able to step on corpses, as they have done in these months, to trample on democratic elections, to trample on an entire people just to maintain their privileges. Soon they will go bankrupt, soon they will no longer be able to say Simion is to blame. Soon it is over with them. And then be prepared, because we must rebuild our country, to reclaim our country to "Let's take it back from the hands of some scoundrels and build it beautifully, as only we Romanians know how to do. We must prepare for that moment by cultivating our unity."
• "We faced Emmanuel Macron"
Simion claims, according to an AUR press release, that Romanians have woken up and that the sovereignist movement was not defeated by the forces that destroyed Romania in recent decades: "In this fight, we faced all their parties, all the system's televisions, all the lies, all the hell and many external forces that intervened against the will of the Romanian people. (...) We faced Emmanuel Macron, who a few days before the second round sent the head of French intelligence to Romania and then to the Republic of Moldova. (...) I did not accept to make deals with the PSD mayors, I did not accept to make deals with Victor Ponta, I did not accept to go along with their system. Lame, one-eyed, scum, the dregs of society, as they will do to us, at least we had dignity, we did not sell out and we fought a fair fight. We knew not to let ourselves be divided "all sorts of infiltrators, all sorts of intriguers, who were holding parallel protests to ours, who were inventing all sorts of lies to thwart our unity."
• Romania will lose European funds
The AUR leader also claims that Romania will lose European funds and that VAT will increase: "I warned them since May 15, I told them, you see, European funds will be suspended because of you incompetents. We have to do something. My opponent came out and said that they were lying like a Russian newspaper. The Minister of Finance, who is part of the CSAT, although he should not be there because he also has another citizenship, Mr. Tanczos Barna, said that they were lying, that European funds would not be suspended. The European Commission, against which I fought in this campaign, against Ursula von der Leyen, came out that day and said that there is no such thing. Just 15 days later it turned out that I was right. (...) My opponent came and said that taxes and duties would not increase, he signed that VAT would not increase. There is little time left and VAT will increase and he will beg you on his knees to send money in the country, because they are going through a difficult situation”.
According to Simion, Nicuşor Dan is easy to control: "There is misery in your house, there is misery in Bucharest, let there be misery in the whole country, because we can control you. Because you are a globalist puppet. And the more easily controllable you are and the more vulnerable you are, and the less capable you are of exercising the function of president, the better you are for Emmanuel Macron and Ursula von der Leyen and against your people who must be destroyed, must be brought to their knees, must be bankrupted. That is their thinking. They have lied so much in this campaign. (...) They are afraid of you because you can no longer be manipulated by their lying televisions, because you no longer believe this propaganda”.
The topics of the presidential campaign were resumed in an even more acidic tone by the AUR leader, who is on a new journey abroad.
