New Kopel Romania was founded in 2005 and as of 2006 it owns the Sixt franchise for Romania. New Kopel Sixt is the first international company that brought operational vehicle leasing to Romania, Sixt being known as one of the largest international providers of rent-a-car and operational leasing services.
New Kopel Sixt is part of the Shlomo Group, owner of the Sixt exclusive license in Israel. Shlomo Group owns and controls companies active in different fields, such as infrastructure, shipyards, real estate and auto industry. The group has 2.000 employees, owns the largest car fleet in Israel (50.000 vehicles, 90 garages) and purchases over 15% of the cars sold in Israel.
