Orsova Shipyard has concluded two contracts for the construction and delivery of two river vessels in the intra-community space, totaling 8.58 million euros, according to a report by the issuer published yesterday on the website of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
The delivery dates of the vessels are April 30, 2026 and July 31, 2026. The buyer, whose name is not disclosed, will pay an advance of the value of the contracts, based on a bank guarantee letter for the refund of the advance, and the rest of the amount will be paid after the vessels arrive at the place of delivery. The company will distribute dividends of 5.82 million lei in mid-June, from last year's profit of 5.94 million lei, the unit allocation being 0.51 lei, equivalent to a net return of 6.7% compared to yesterday's price of the company's share, from the first part of the trading session.
Last year, Şantierul Naval Orşova reported business of 100 million lei, similar to those of the previous year, while the net profit of 5.9 million lei was higher by about 72% compared to that of 2023. For this year, the issuer has budgeted total revenues of 117 million lei, 16% above those of last year, while the estimated net profit amounts to about 4.7 billion lei.
Sea Container Services and Longshield Investment Group (currently SIF Muntenia) each own 47% of the river ship manufacturer from Orşova, whose stock market valuation amounts to about 77 million lei.
