Students, professors and performing arts specialists from Romania and ten other countries are gathering in Sibiu, within one of the most important sections of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS). More than 350 students, master's students, doctoral students, professors and performing arts experts will participate, between June 19-28, at the Festival of Universities of Theatre and Cultural Management, organized within the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS), announced the "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu. Participants from Romania, but also from the United States, Great Britain, Austria, Spain, Poland, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, South Korea and China are expected at the event.
• Thirty performances, on stage and online
The festival program includes 30 theater, dance and music performances, which will be presented both in theaters and online. The event brings together prestigious artistic education institutions, including Pace University (USA), University of Surrey (UK), Beijing Dance Academy (China) and the National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale". The Festival of Theater and Cultural Management Universities is one of the traditional sections of FITS, dedicated to academic exchanges and international dialogue in the field of performing arts.
• FITS brings over 5,000 artists from 83 countries to Sibiu
This year's edition of the Sibiu International Theater Festival will take place between June 20 and 29 and will bring together over 5,000 artists from 83 countries. According to the festival's president, Constantin Chiriac, the program will include 848 events, eight more than the previous edition. With the presence of universities and specialists from three continents, the Festival of Universities of Theatre and Cultural Management confirms Sibiu's status as one of the main meeting points for the theatrical and academic world. The event offers students and teachers the opportunity to participate in performances, workshops and exchanges of experience in an international setting, transforming the city into a true capital of the performing arts.
