The FNGCIMM guarantees loans intended for projects co-financed using European grants. The maximum amount of the guarantee is 2,500,000 million Euros/the equivalent in lei, at the NBR exchange rate valid on the date of approval of the guarantee.
Any microenterprise or SME which wants to make investments co-financed using European grants can receive a guarantee from the Fund, as long as it meets the following eligibility criteria:
a) is legally certified as an SME according to the law no. 346/2004 with subsequent changes and additions, based on an affidavit; b) has concluded a financing agreement with the implementation body or management authority; c) mMeets the requirements of the financing/guarantee requirements of the Lender/FNGCIMM. The percentage of the guarantee may not exceed 80% of the amount of the financing intended for the implementation of the projects co-financed using European grants. The payment of the guarantee is made within 90 calendar days after the receipt of the Payment request made by the bank.
Guarantees are accessed quickly (2-3 working days). The guarantee commission is low compared to the guarantees for financing, others than those of structural funds.
