Acarul Păun changed his job some time ago, he became a journalist. There is no possible mistake that cannot be imputed to him. In the electoral campaign, he went to the next level, that of threats and concrete projects, meant to make "people" out of the rebels in the press.
Directly, as befits a female politician, Anamaria Gavrilă, head of the POT, called things by their names in the halls of Parliament when she addressed journalists: "You are on the verge of extinction. You are an endangered species". Indirectly, from the same political area, there was also talk of "re-education" and professional reconversion for those in the media area.
The announcement did not surprise me. From the first years of my life, I learned that I am part of a species in which individuals appear and disappear regularly, for thousands of years, and more recently, medical specialists confirmed to me that the chances of me being immortal are zero. Doctors have said "to live too long", but it is known, sometimes we like to stretch perspectives.
Obviously, some of the politicians on the wave have much shorter-term plans with the label of journalists, not all of them (they also have their bankruptcies). As much as I love the job I practice, I have to admit that the world can exist without the press, but I am convinced that it would not be any better than this. Obviously, there can be a world without politicians, but theologians can talk better about Heaven.
It doesn't sound great, but I'm honest, I disappear and I'm not sorry. I am not pessimistic in what I say, on the contrary, optimism has caught me in its nets, I have the feeling that a better generation is coming from behind, and politics and the press will be made only by honest and competent people. I hope that our descendants will know how to use words better or at least respect them, before throwing them into the fire.
